The summer term is always an exciting time of the year for all children, but for none more so than the Primary 7s. Every year our Primary 7 children look forward to the traditional trips, the Leaver’s Assembly and the farewell celebrations that mark the end of their time at St Patrick’s Primary school. Sadly, the current circumstances are preventing us from enjoying these lovely things, but we want to let all the Primary 7 students know what a huge impact they have had on the entire school community throughout their primary school journey. We are saying goodbye to a truly wonderful bunch of young friends who will be missed by everyone in our school community and hope they will visit us again soon. We wish them all the best in their new adventures and we are sure they will succeed in whatever path they choose.

The P7 boys and girls have showcased their many skills and talents throughout the years by performing in school plays and assemblies and have played an important part in many special masses and liturgical celebrations. United as a class, they have grown in maturity and respect through exciting programmes such as Fresh Little Minds and showed off their STEM skills through projects with Sentinus Young Innovators. They have also gained valuable life skills as all of our P7 students have completed Heart Start training and made lifelong friendships with the children at Broughshane Primary School through their Shared Education programme.

Our P7 students have demonstrated the potential to do amazing things by working hard to protect their local community and environment through both the Student Council and Eco Council. Above all, they have shown love and respect for everything in God's creation and developed powerful faith values of honesty, compassion, forgiveness and generosity that will stay with them forever.

This energetic class have really embraced an active lifestyle through their Daily Miles, lunchtime games and enthusiasm for every sport from table tennis and dancing, to their Friday swimming lessons – which were savoured as the highlight of the week! Our athletic stars have participated fantastically in the annual school sports days and have even taken part virtually this year with Healthy Kidz!

Good luck to all our P7 Superheroes!

A pleasure to teach and a blessing to know,

may the spirit of St Patrick’s be with you wherever you go.
